Prayer Ministry

The Church is a house of prayer. The prayer ministry at MCOG works to strengthen the life and mission of the church through the power of prayer. Each Sunday a group of people gather early in the morning and begin praying for the day. You will see them walking around the church building, in the sanctuary, praying for a row of seats where people will be sitting in just a few hours or at the door of a classroom. Then they meet together and pray for the major needs of the church, for the worship service and the pastor. These people realize that God’s hand moves when people gather and pray together.

In-Touch Ministry

In-Touch is our guest services ministry for the church. They work to show God’s love in a practical way to each and every person that walks through our doors.

Worship Arts

The worship team leads the congregation in worshiping and praising our Father God, an outgrowth of our personal relationships with Him. The team leads our Sunday worship time, and consists of vocalists, musicians, and choir members. Although a certain level of musical or technical skill is required to participate in the Worship Team, everyone must be a worshiper of God first and a vocalist, instrumentalist, dancer, technician second. The notes and actions that come from our heart are far more important to God than the notes that come from our voice or instrument.

Missions

Our missions ministry works to serve the needs of our local communities and around the world. In Matthew:28, Jesus says that we are to go into all the world and make disciples. This is known as the Great Commission, not the great suggestion, and here at Millington Church of God we take that call seriously. Our Missions Team is working hard to meet the local needs of our community including providing food for our local food pantry, support local school children with supplies, and families for Christmas. The reach of the team extends beyond the community as well. In July 2012, the team assembled care packages for the troops overseas, and in June 2014 the team gathered a group of church members to attend a missions trip the Dominican Republic.

A.I.M. Fellowship

AIM (Adults In Ministry) is a busy ministry in the church. The groups meets for fellowship and a meal once a month, where they discuss past and upcoming events. Events include everything from fundraising for the church, to organizing funeral dinners, and making quilts for needy families. AIM is for adults age 18 and older.

Technology

The technology ministry works to support the worship team and other ministries by providing audio, video, lighting, and cd distribution services. Our tech team provides quality service for the Sunday worship services (adults and children), weddings, funerals, and any other special event needing lights, video or sound. The team is made up of sound technicians, light technicians, computer technicians, video technicians, and duplication technicians.

Building and Grounds

Our building and grounds ministry works to maintain our church indoor and outdoor facilities, as well as our members who need assistance around their home. This group takes care of our campus with regards to maintenance, repairs, and janitorial work. They also serve the needs of our seniors who may not be able to do maintenance around their home.

Oasis Women’s Ministry
